Most of us see snow geese and think about the times we got into ‘em on a pass shoot in a storm, or maybe calling a single or small groups. However, Blake lives and breathes to work large groups of geese into close range for his clients.  I went out for an afternoon hunt this past Sunday, and it was an amazing time. What we saw was a combination of skill and luck. Skilled calling and field prep, and luck that the geese were willing to work. In a couple hours we had 20 geese down. We had a group of 300+ snows within 30 yards as well. Crazy!! Now, it doesn’t always happen. Anyone who has hunted waterfowl for any significant time knows you can’t make a date with a goose.
